Mayfair Gallery

Mayfair has one of the most beautiful churches and gardens I’ve found so far in London (but please comment and tell me about more) It’s the Catholic Church of the Immaculate in Mount Street Gardens. Well worth a visit, and you can cut through from Hyde Park on the left where I’ve shown with the dotted line and walk through towards Soho and hence to the West End. Berkeley Square has what are said to be the oldest Plane trees in London. It has a busy road around it so cross over into the park – it’s worth it. The bottom section of Bond Street, known as Old Bond Street, is very pretty, and absolutely fabulous at Christmas. It’s a designer shopping route up to Marylebone High Street too, and onwards to Regent’s Park. I’ve put in the pale pink streets to show which are prettier and quieter. The unmarked streets are busy with traffic.
