Canary Wharf is definitely worth a visit even if you don’t like shopping. The contrasting skyscrapers of silver and glass are arranged around the old West India Dock so the area is steeped in history, but has been beautifully developed with foliage, flowers, plentiful cafes, squares and parks and everywhere benches and inviting places to sit and enjoy the water and the spectacular futuristic views.
